I’ve had a persistent sore throat that hasn’t improved for about 2 weeks. Recently, I noticed some inflammation in my tonsillar region. At the same time, my wisdom teeth have been coming in on the same side as the swelling. however i got the sore throat long before (a week and a half) the teeth started troubling me (its been coming for a while however). Could these two issues be related, or should I be concerned about my tonsils?

18, male, not a heavy smoker anymore, id say i used to be in 2024 but now its consistent but not too much (smoking in this context refers to vapes), persistent sore throat for almost 2 weeks noticed a sort of lump in the back of my throat. It’s one sided. However there is no persistent cough, occasional pain in the ear (once or twice a day) and no weight loss. Lump is hard and rubbery but not rock solid, but I feel it is lopsided

i have no trouble breathing or swallowing i discover the lump 2-3 days ago but have had a sore throat for a while

I know most symptoms for malignant growths dont apply but the duration of my throat infection and the presence of the lump concerned me. I am a very big hypochondriac and suffered a panic attack when i found the lump. I am too embarrassed to tell people around me

All above stated are the things the internet asked me to look out for.

Please help me figure out if it’s benign or malignant
