The folding of the ears is so adorable to me. 😊 She prefers head pats to side strokes today. Lots of sunflower seeds were eaten tgus evening 😁. This is my squirrel friend "Precious"

Just a little nibble, not a bite. I get the feeling she just wanted the food this morning. 🤌

I trust this one. This is "Precious" 🐾 This one smiles when she sees me. 😊 She knows I got something good for her, always. Slowly getting more comfortable. I went out for sunflower seeds. Out of stock! 😱 Almonds and pecans on the menu today.

This is a not so stable squirrel friend I called "Seizy" She grew quite comfortable with me as I catered directly to her every need. I met her being bullied away from my feeder, such a small girl. She looked so absolutely sad, I had to do something about it. As our relationship progressed, she began to have a voice. She never bit me, but so relentless towards others as she grew up. Defending her food. 😳 She'd growl loudly first, then lunge and clamp on to other squirrels with her teeth and not let go. I've seen her get dragged up trees. 😶 Then come back as she did here and sploot next to her favorite human. I would stroke her back to calm her down. She sounded like a broken record, half "growling", and half "aah, there's the spot" ,🤣 She only stayed around for Two years. Just thought I'd share.

Squirrel 🐾 you look good, won't you back that thang up! 🤣 I wish I had a video of her reaction to her first walnut in the shell. It was like a gift from the heavens to her. She was truly a gift.

"Precious" was very excited this morning. She came from half a block away running down the street as soon as she heard my screen door open. She loves them black oil sunflower seeds. 🐾 💞 Chosen over pecans and almonds 😳I went in for a few pats on the side.

This is Precious. And yes she is. The sun is shining this morning. She lives in a tree across my street. My skies were grey this weekend, and my Sunshine was taken away. 😔 Thank you to all who reached out. I'm grateful for those that did. 💞 It was difficult. A boop and some pecans for this fuzzy one. Her second handful 😳

***Update I saw another squirrel near the nest this morning. I'll check it when I get home from work. 🤞 No words can express how much I miss my friend. ☀️

I am heartbroken to announce, my friend 🐾 Sunny passed at 10:30am 5/2/26 I have absolutely no idea what happened. I found her seizing and she went still in my hands. I was there in her final moments. I am completely heartbroken. I climbed up to the nest she built. There are squirrels inside. I checked again a few hours later, no vocalizations or signs of distress. It is raining, the nest is warm inside. I hope they're ok.

I am grateful for all of the time and love she gave to me. 💞

Revisiting some old videos, this is Seizy. She was only around for a little over a year. Just a little starving fuzzball when I met her. Uncoordinated motor skills. Clumsy, and I've watched her dragged across my yard whilst biting other squirrels and not letting go. 😱 She protected what she had. 💞🐾 Me 😳 the most ruthless and sweetest girl. 🤣 She loved bum scratches. She never jumped on me, or but me. Food was enough for her trust. She knew immediately I was there for her. 🥰

Spotted her being bullied away from a pile of food, visibility sad, and pouting all by herself staring at the ground. 😢

The canopy, hammock, and chair for squirrel friends to hop up on led to many naps with a large bags of almonds for the taking. Rain or shine. What was most interesting to me was seeing other squirrels for the first time jumping in my hammock with me in it and being comfortable with me. It led to many friends. I've woken from naps with squirrels splooted on me. 😉

A happy Friday 5/1 to all my 💞 Sunny 🐾 fans. She was so excited to see me this 🌄 morning 😊 she ate a walnut above me and came down for some pecans from my hand before I left for work.

Figured I'd try to get her to climb up my leg. She did not hesitate 🐾💞 many walnuts were buried today. 😊

It's always a pleasure to have her sit and enjoy some Pecans. Her chest wound is already clearing up. 👍 -Sunny- 🐾💞

Little slanky man over here gets REALLY excited for anything I have to offer 🫴 He knows it's ALL good 😊 he grabs so fast 😮 he nibbled me on the previous snack. Glad it didn't hurt.

I just noticed this wound on my friend Sunny's neck. 🐾💞 I hope it's nothing serious. She seems fine. She gets a little territorial sometimes 😑 probably fighting with another squirrel.
