cthulu the cosmic abyss is a cosmic miss

Cthulu the cosmic abyss is a horror puzzle game with no horror and bad puzzles, the game is choppy and runs quite poorly. The voice acting is just ok. Now, for the real bad stuff. You can almost never die in this game unless you fall through a hole or something, there are no chases, no stealth sequences, and frankly no atmosphere. So you may be asking "wheres the horror?" well im asking that too cause it does not exist. Visually the game has nothing to ride home about, the puzzles are extremely frustrating and are a slog to understand, especially if you want the good ending, which requires even worse puzzles to reach. Frankly it doesnt even feel cramped or isolated, it doesnt feel crushing or give off vibes of thalassaphobia. It just has nothing, and was a complete let down. 2/10

This game had a beta to say the least. The game was decently fun, fast paced. However there is no punishment for rage quitting, more on the players than the devs but god it gets irritating. Come the full game its still an issue. The roster is good, and the gameplay has a fun assist breaking mechanic which makes someone mid combo have to focus their attention on their opponents assist, which can ruin the combo if not countered. Customization is just awful, i think it has like two actual outfits you can unlock, and a pre order bonus, plus a beta bonus. The rest are locked behind overpriced paywalls and are really bad, 10 bucks for one skin where conquest does not have a shirt. The deluxe package is the worst in gaming for a while, including a year 1 character pass and a banner for your nametag, none of these cosmetics are included. You want actual unlockable cosmetics in a game you payed 50 or 70 bucks for? too bad, we didn't finish the game so pay extra for things that should have already been included. 6/10, little to unlock and an already obnoxious online base, with fun gameplay and well done animation. Hopefully there will be some more actual unlockables and stuff in later seasons (if they don't lock those behind an overpriced paywall too)

so the story seemed like it was gonna keep going, do they plan to add more story as the seasons go on? i know it isnt by any means a story driven game but it made it seem that way with the lack of a conclusion and the general faster pace, and the story mode was really good. Also when could we expect the first character dlc?
