I’d be grateful if anyone with experience of asbestos in flooring could advise if this underlay board is likely to contain asbestos?
A while ago a builder removed several partition walls that I believe were installed in the early 90s when my apartment and others were converted from a hotel to residential apartments. He said the partition walls did not contain asbestos. I didn’t think to ask about the flooring underlay.
As the photos illustrate there are original wooden floorboards (the building was original built in the 1860s). I have no idea when the underlay was put down, if it happened in the 90s when the hotel was converted or decades earlier.
The former owner put down the laminate flooring down circa 2019. I think the pink carpet in hallway dates from early 90s.
Any advice appreciated, thank you.
