As the title says i'm an incoming Fordham 2030 student thinking of switching to commuting to save some money. I was just wondering if my financial aid package would shrink ? Has anyone done this b4

Fordham: Pro, Better Academics for my major, more research opportunities , close to several hospitals, Closer to family

Cons: Have to pay 42k out of pocket, waiting on financial aid appeal

UTK: Good academics, On campus Hospital, Full tuition scholarship + in state financial aid

Cons: heavy republican presence, republican state, Minority student, away from family

i genuinely have to decide by today and actually have no clue
