Aw2725df 360hz monitor fps profiles.

Been experimenting a lot with my AW2725DF settings for competitive FPS games and I’m curious what other people ended up settling on long-term.

I tried the FPS preset and honestly I feel like it hurts my spotting in games like DayZ. Everything gets too harsh/washed and enemies don’t stand out naturally for me.

For a long time I was using:

  • Creator Mode
  • Gamma 2.2
  • Brightness 80
  • Contrast 75

Recently I switched to:

  • Custom Color
  • R96 G98 B100
  • Brightness 45
  • Contrast 75

And weirdly it feels more natural and easier on my eyes while still looking clear.

I mainly play games where spotting and visual clarity matter a lot:

  • DayZ
  • FPS games in general

I care more about:

  • enemy visibility
  • motion clarity
  • natural image
  • reduced eye strain than oversaturated “wow” colors.

What settings are you guys using on the AW2725DF for actual competitive gaming?

Especially interested in:

  • SDR vs HDR
  • Gamma settings
  • Creator vs Custom Color
  • Dark Stabilizer usage
  • NVIDIA Control Panel tweaks
  • Whether lower brightness actually helps visibility/focus for you
  • Any settings that improved spotting in darker games like DayZ

Would love to see what experienced users settled on after months of use instead of first impressions/review settings.

advice for ram tuning

Anyone still tuning Comet Lake DDR4? Looking for suggestions on my 10850K setup

Been spending some time tweaking my i9 10850K system and I think I’ve reached a pretty solid point latency-wise, but I’m curious if there’s still more left in it.

Current setup:

  • i9 10850K @ 4.9 GHz all-core
  • Cache/ring @ 4.5 GHz
  • 32GB Micron DDR4
  • 3466 MT/s CL16
  • RTX 3070 Ti Vision OC

AIDA64:

  • Read: ~50 GB/s
  • Latency: 51.9 ns

The system feels extremely responsive in games like DayZ and League, especially frametime consistency and mouse feel.

I’m mostly wondering:

  • Is 51.9 ns considered strong for Comet Lake + Micron DDR4?
  • Would you focus more on tighter subtimings or pushing frequency higher from here?
  • How important is ring/cache frequency for gaming responsiveness on these chips?
  • Anyone with similar hardware have tuning suggestions?

I couldn’t get CL16 stable at 3600, so currently running tighter timings at 3466 instead.

Would love to hear from people still running/tuning 10th gen Intel.

Wondering if anyone has any suggestions.

Upgrade advice needed: i9-10850K owner wondering where to go next (competitive gaming focus)

Currently running:

  • Intel i9-10850K
  • RTX 3070 Ti
  • Alienware AW2725DF (1440p high refresh)
  • Mainly playing CPU-heavy/competitive games like DayZ, League, etc.
  • Priorities: low latency, high/stable FPS, strong 1% lows, smooth competitive feel

I’m considering a CPU upgrade and trying to decide if it’s worth moving from the 10850K now or waiting longer.

Looking at options like:

  • i5-14600K
  • i7-14700K
  • 7800X3D (though I’ve heard mixed things)
  • Open to other suggestions too

Questions for people who’ve upgraded from similar systems:

  1. Is upgrading from an i9-10850K actually a noticeable jump in CPU-bound games?
  2. For competitive gaming, would you go 14600K, 14700K, or something else?
  3. Is the 14600K a big enough upgrade to justify changing platform?
  4. With an RTX 3070 Ti at 1440p, what CPU would you pair it with for best value?
  5. Would you stay on DDR4 for value, or move to DDR5 now?

Not chasing benchmarks on paper — I care more about real-world responsiveness, frametimes, and “feels better” upgrades.

Thanks.
