Rumored Portal Expansions For Epic

I have a couple ideas for some portal expansions at epic that I wanted to share :) I think the concept of the portals opens up the creative possibilities and after some thinking a lil research I’ve got some ideas . Ofc this is just brainstorming and not paying mind to real world logistics that might hinder the idea . There won’t be a Nintendo idea cause we all know it’s Zelda OR Pokémon (both of which I feel will go to studios or Islands not epic)

  1. DC Super Hero’s : Now I understand that six flags have been holding onto the theme park rights for decades now but those rights are able to be negotiated or sold here in a few years . Warner brothers having past success with the wizarding world could inspire them to give Universal another shot with these iconic characters . I can imagine the center piece being a big “Hall of justice”

The original idea for what became Marvels super hero island was for it to be DC themed. One area being a dark and gritty Gotham with a “Batman vs Penguin “ dark ride and a light and inspiring atmosphere for metropolis. (A Superman coaster that eventually becomes the hulk). I think the double punch of marvel in islands and DC in Epic could be great for its competition with Disney.

  1. SpongeBob and the Bikini Bottom : it’s actually insane that SpongeBob is only in a cameo in the defunct “Jimmy Neutron Nicktoon Blast” and the store next to ET. I think that the portal could serve as a much needed water / splash area for epic. They already are opening one down in Texas so why not bring over here. Imagine how colorful and fun walking around a more themed Bikini bottom . You got two food options as well with the Krusty Krab and The Chum bucket. You can sell kelp shakes and pretty patties. Definitely an idea here

  2. Lord of the rings - Cmon it’s almost perfect for a theme park land . Maybe have it set in the shire and like “ministry” you enter into the Mines of Moria for the big dark ride ! Incredible music to accompany the hills and lil streams in the plant dense walking paths .

  3. Universal Throwback - complete shot in the dark but it could be a way to bring back classic universal rides that got canned in the past . Back to the future , Jaws and dueling dragons for example. Not much else I have for this one but the idea of bringing oldies back has never really been done before

I’ve been working since I was 16 and now at 24 I wanted to take shot in the aviation industry. My dad works for Boeing and mentioned that Alaska Airlines (I live in Everett WA) would be a great airline to try and apply for with decent benefits and pay . Since I liked talking to new people and airplanes I thought why not look into it

I have worked in
-retail sales for a combined 6 years , Professional -Arborist climber /Sales for 3 years
-worked as a housekeeper for the Walt Disney Corporation and Marriot Bonvoy for going on 4

Would any of these skills transition over to Flight Attendant or is it too random of a work history ?

I had my first day at epic today and I had a great time .

I wanted to rank the rides but first wanted to give a lil context

I adored hiccups wing coaster !! Like sitting front row , flying above the beautiful water felt like I was genuinely on the back of a dragon . Had my grown ass emotional cause I grew up with these movies and I just had a childhood dream come true in a way

Monsters unleashed !! My god the atmosphere was incredible and those beautiful new animatronics blew me away . Especially the end scare and the first big showroom scene ( no spoilers here)

The ministry of magic ride was mind blowing in its own way , the screens were crisp and blended with the real environment perfectly . It felt as if you were in that magic lift flying through the ministry with a couple BIG surprises (again no spoilers )

Stardust Racers just amazing no other comments needed beyond first row and the launches are intense

With that context being set on the big 4 rides of the park ( Mario kart ride is a big miss opportunity and I rode it in Hollywood , not impressed at all and the donkey Kong coaster was down ) I will give the ranking

  1. Ministry

3 stardust

2monsters

1 Hiccup flying coaster

Something about the childhood nostalgia , the music , the track layout around the portal , the set pieces and the launches are just perfect for what the ride wants you to feel . I will standby that this coaster is highly underrated and is incredibly immersive in the front row . I know it’s biased based off my love for the IP BUT I’m going back tomorrow and will come back to this after I ride all these again :) I would love to hear your thoughts on these rides and where you would personally rank them . I

Remember WE HAVE DRAGONSSS

Okay idk if it bothers anyone else but my god the amount of “influencers” in the park today vlogging and being obnoxious just really pissed me off today . Idk it’s private property and I didn’t give consent to be in anyone’s live stream or TikTok . But I swear every 20 mins or so I’d see another stranger with a tripod/streamer stick just wondering around filming people just trying to enjoy their day with their loved ones. I know in the grand scheme of things it’s harmless but I can’t imagine anyone with kiddos being okay with their child potentially being filmed or live-streamed without knowing.

Am I being too sensitive or is this a valid thought process

I haven been here since I was 6 years old and to say I got weirdly emotional now as a 24 year old guy is an understatement. I didn’t expect it but the wave of nostalgia and like memories just came flooding back. I’m sitting rn just relaxing at the lake in front of the chocolate factory . Life is pretty good when you give yourself a chance to breathe and enjoy the things that make you happy . I hope all that come here feel the same amount of joy as I do at this moment . The air is crisp and the atmosphere is amazing here
