Hey everyone, looking for honest opinions from Uber drivers.

My husband and I are going to Clearwater in about 3 weeks, and we use Uber a lot when we travel because I really hate driving on vacation. I use the app pretty frequently, have a 5-star rating, and overall have always had great experiences.

We’ll be bringing our 8-pound Shih Tzu with us. She stays inside a zipped pet carrier the entire time and would never actually touch the seats or interior of the vehicle. She also doesn’t shed.

Normally I try to reserve an Uber Pet ahead of time just to avoid any issues or long waits, but for some reason I can’t find an option to schedule Uber Pet in advance from the airport.

My question is: would most drivers have an issue with this if I requested a regular Uber and immediately messaged them to explain? I also tip very well — usually at least 50% — though I don’t know if drivers can see that beforehand.

Really trying to avoid renting a car, so I’d appreciate honest feedback from drivers on whether this would generally be considered okay or frustrating.

My husband and I visit the Clearwater area pretty often and always go all-in on seafood. We’re heading down for a quick weekend trip (5/29–6/1), and he’s on a mission to find a really good grouper sandwich.

We keep hearing about Dockside Dave’s over in Madeira—worth the hype? Or are there other spots you’d recommend instead?
