I walked 5 miles into a forest to smoke weed to on my favourite bench with a view only for my lighter to refuse to light, dejected i walked back and my lighter worked fine, then it started raining. I cannot post on r/kitchencels for I have felt love and it was beautiful, I miss it. Club mate.

I went to my family doctor (after waiting 2 weeks since that's the earliest I could get an appointment) to get referred to a therapist today, I told him about how ever since like I had a breakup, death of a family member and some other stuff all in the same month, I've been not sleeping till 5AM everyday, eating terribly, and don't have the drive to do anything at all all day for the past 3 months and I've been trying to not be like this but was failing and that I wanted to talk to a professional.

His response was "well it's normal to be like this when you're grieving, so you're not mentally ill or anything" and recommended I just thug it out and try talking to friends or family about it. I had to like needle him for him to refer me to the in house psychologist and even then all I could get is a phone intake thats in a month.

And this is my experience in a developed country with tax funded healthcare. It's so much worse in third world countries and I'm guessing the US.

So it really annoys me when people pretend that therapy is just accessible to everyone and say things like just go to therapy dude.
