10 gallon, planted (1 plastic plant also), cycled (0ammonia, 0nitrite, 5nitrate) aquarium. Temp is at 74 Fahrenheit with heater. Three boy platies are the only inhabitants. One is significantly bigger than the others (and the only non-hifin, if that matters).

Two fish went in on Saturday evening, one this morning. The biggest platy is NOT a good roommate.

I’m seeing unprovoked chasing and nipping almost nonstop. The big guy just switches between two victims.

I love these little guys already, and I’m worried that stress will make it much harder for the two smaller fish to adjust to their new tank, much less thrive. I have an empty 5 gallon spare hospital tank, but another tank is a LAST resort. Any and all advice appreciated!

This poor little fella hit a window today. He’s safe for the night and going to the wildlife rehab center first thing tomorrow (already spoke with them).

We’re in South Florida, US. He is smaller than my palm (gloved! just a gentle airlift into a cardboard box). Can anyone tell me more about my visitor for the night?

Bonus if anyone has recs for anti-collision window stickers. This can’t happen again.

UPDATE: Little buddy survived the night. He was feisty this morning! Dropped off at the sanctuary for some dextrose and an exam. They’re hoping to get him released asap to join the rest of the ovenbird migration. Thank you everyone

10 gal long, moderately planted, cycled for four weeks with anubias/wood from another cycled tank. 0 ammonia, 0 nitrite, 5 nitrate.

I brought home three sweet platy boys yesterday and left them alone. This morning, I was excited to see them up and exploring their digs! However, the biggest dude had one clearly visible white spot on his tail.

Tonight, the spot’s still there, maybeee one or two other tiny ones on the tail, maybe I’m just paranoid.

Is this ich? The fish are still brand new and the only inhabitants. No behavioral changes/lethargy/flashing so far. Is it a waiting game to see if more spots appear overnight?
