Grandparents" for those of you who are able to and choose to offer to provide a little financial support to help out your grandchildren's lives (eg helping out with tuition or putting $ towards a school trip/musical lessons etc..) what motivates you?

Obviously a lot of grandparents choose not to, and that is their choice - but for those that have the ability to help out your grandchildren and do offer to help out, why do you do it? I am trying to understand what motivates you. Thanks in advance!

Feeling resentment that my financially-secure parents are not helping my kids (their grandkids) out financially at all, in any way.

I KNOW I shouldn't feel this way and they have the right to spend (or not spend) every dollar they have however they like, but I do. My 2 teen children have high school and activity expenses and their grandparents never help out in any way financially. My kids do very well and work hard. My parents can definitely afford to help with tuition or other activities. How do I get over this underlying resentment? I never ask for $, and never express how I feel, but I just can't help wondering why they don't seem to have any generosity around this, and know I would definitely help out my grandchildren and enjoy watching their successes and opportunities I can help provide. Thanks.

EDIT - wow seems like I have touched a nerve... interesting the defensive reactions.

Are there any regular social gatherings of students who play board games through the summer? Or a club? Thanks in advance

Pretty specific question, but are there several entrances to the JMCC restaurant (for catered accommodations)? Is there a second entrance in the back of the building facing Turner? Also, is it on the first or second floor? Thanks

Will be staying there for the summer, any experiences on what to expect in general? Not a lot I could find online, not many photos. Thanks for any info!
