Irritating

I have MSFS 2020 for the Xbox xseries. I swear, every time I choose a departing runway in earth view and go to fly, it starts me on a different runway. Another thing I hate: when using the in-cockpit computer (sorry, don’t know the technical term), every time I hit a virtual button using the ‘A’ button on the controller it advances the throttle (this is in the TBM). When entering a flight plan, I have to keep reducing the throttle.

Putting ladder on roof

I want to put my ladder on the roof overhang right above the camera so I can trim the white PVC furnace exhaust pipe. However, if the ladder slips at that height I’m dead.

I was thinking of nailing a 2x4 to the roof to keep the ladder from slipping, but then do I just put silicone caulk in the nail holes, or is there a better way?

Alternatively, I will have to shell out $500 for a towable boom lift.

Edit: Thanks for the comments everyone. I think I’ll rent the lift.

Scam?

Our local paper has quite a few ads from HVAC companies offering coupons for discounts. Every one says you must mention the coupon when you call them. Is this so they can inflate any quote and then make it look like you are receiving a discount? Or am I being cynical?
