Diminished Value Claim Advice

Hi all,

I'm looking to get some advice. Car got into an accident mid-January in Illinois. The other person took fault and State Farm repaired my car (their insurance). I drive a '23 Honda CRV Sport with, at the time, 24k miles on it. The repair bill was $6k-ish. Some of the work included replacing the door and quarter panel. I opened a DV claim against them and started pursuing in early February.

They were very reluctant. I tried to gather data myself (vins of cars similar to mine with and without damage to prove diminished value). They didn't budge. Finally, got a appraisal from DVAC (mydvac dot com). Showed them that report, they still didn't find DV but offered me $500 (the fee for the report) as "good faith". The form they sent me to fill out literally said "Diminished Value - $500"

I refused, filed a DOI complaint and threatened to file in court. After complaining that they haven't given me any data to dispute (their response the entire time has been "we haven't found any evidence to support DV") they finally sent me 6 VIN numbers (only vin numbers) and bumped their offer to $750.

My appraisal came in at $2500. They offer $750. Should I take it or should I pursue them in small claims court? Everything is documented since it took part over email.
