Caine relates to the bees.

I think it's two things.

For context, In nature, honey bees get kicked out before the winter. This because they are deemed as useless and will just waste resources. Once they fulfill their purpose of mating with the queen bee. They get kicked out.

Number one: Caine relates to bees because the only time he is ever requested is to get rid of the abstracted characters or fix something related to the circus members. Once he does what the cast wants, they really don't want him around. Caine might relate to this because he might feel used just like honeybees.

Number two: He might relate to the honeybees because during ep 8 we learn that Caine didn't do what the C&A employees wanted. So they pushed him to the side and worked with Abel or at least the blue ai. He might relate to the honeybees because they also get pushed to the side. As they are considered in the way and take up space in the hive so they starve the honeybees. Similar to how the C&A employees Caine as useless and stopped giving him data to train on.

I think we have every strong evidence that the SOMA theory is true. Especially with Caine saying in ep 8, "I made a body that fully encapsulates their mind files" and the computer in ep 8 with the C&A neural scans.

In the pilot, we learn that abstractions are caused by losing your mind. It could be possible that when you reaching your breaking point the mind files corrupt themselves therefore a loss of important data. This creating a monster avatar like Kafumo and the other abstracted characters.

In episode two after Gumigoo is deleted. Caine says "if I start to lose track of who's and npc and who's a human....who knows what could happen." The way how his face is filled with dread explains that something very bad will happen if he does. It could be possible that if Caine deletes an human, he is essentially deleting their mind files which could also lead to abstraction because of a loss of important data.

Then in episode 7, after Jax's crash out. Caine says "...add modifiers to make things more interesting and that's it if I did anything more, trust me it would not end well". Additionally, Caine gets really nervous and panicky the topic changes to about abstraction and messing with their minds.

This could also mean if Caine tries to mess with the players mind files too much he could make a mistake that causes their mind files to be corrupted. Therefore leading into abstraction.
