curious what people around Logan are actually seeing right now. Does the job market here feel healthier lately or just more competitive/selective

my cousins and their family moved here thinking Chicago was going to feel more affordable and opportunity heavy compared to places like NYC, Seattle, or Toronto for some people it genuinely worked out.

But I also know people with good experience and solid resumes who've been applying for months trying to switch industries, find stable work again, or even just interviews consistently.

Feels like there are opportunities here, but maybe not in the same way there were a few years ago. Curious what others arouund Logan seeing lately across different industries

had this happen recently and it kind of stuck with me.

been doing well in my role, took on more over time, feedback was solid. thought I had a decent shot when something opened up.

they ended up hiring someone from outside instead. No big explanation, just how it goes I guess.

Not even mad about it ( yeah?), just made me think a bit differently about staying vs looking elsewhere.

Or is this just how it goes now?

Watching the traffic shift to the west-side lanes on Mays Street this morning got me thinking about the daily trade-off for those of us working here in town versus commuting south.

Even with the local growth, it feels like the professional side of the market in Round Rock has been in a bit of a holding pattern this spring. It's almost like everyone is waiting for a specific sign to start making moves again, which makes the local boards feel a bit stuck.

Is it just the construction making everything feel slower, or are others seeing that "wait and see" energy at their offices too?
