looking for store recommendation, need something classy for a work event on a budget

my company has a big formal dinner thing coming up in a few weeks and attendance is pretty much mandatory. i dont really have fancy dresses since i never go out that much and i cant justify spending a ton on something ill only wear once or twice. want something that looks elegant not clubby since theres gonna be execs there. budget ideally under $150. any sites worth looking at?

Why does signup data look useful but fail in actual lead prioritization?

i run an early stage b2b saas. to access the trial, we have a signup form where we ask for the usual stuff work email, company, role, etc .lately i’ve noticed a lot of people either skip through it or just pick random options which ends up giving our sales team completely wrong signals when they reach out

my main priority right now is growth and getting as many people through the door and into the trial as possible, so we keep the signup friction low intentionally. but that creates a prioritization problem for our sales team on the back end. right now a vp at a legit company and a solo founder just messing around with my product look exactly the same in the CRM because because one of them probably lied on the form or just picked whatever got them through fastest. and we've definitely had high-value signups sit untouched for days because nobody realized they were worth reaching out to because they just pick a random role instead of selecting the correct one

has anyone set up automatic enrichment anchored purely off a work email? its the one field we have kept mandatory, so its the only data point we can always rely on curious how accurate it actually is in practice mainly need company size, role/seniority, and industry

Best way to download a full YouTube playlist for offline viewing?

Going through one of those free university course playlists on YouTube this semester from MIT OpenCourseWare Its a long playlist, a lot of hour-plus lectures

Problem is the WiFi in my library is genuinely bad and thats where I actually study buffers constantly Want to just download the whole playlist in one go so I can watch offline Subtitles would be nice too if possible

Is there a desktop app that takes the playlist link and queues everything up? Not looking to spend a weekend setting anything up, I just want to paste and go

Clay taught me how to think about GTM systems and now I don't need Clay

Not a hate post I used Clay for about 7 months and i really think its a great product But I cancelled last month and my stack is better for it, which is a weird thing to say about a tool I actually liked

When I started with clay I didn't know what an enrichment waterfall was didn't know you could chain data providers didn't know what a webhook was or why you'd want one.
clays ui made all of that accessible I could see the logic visually, drag things around, test stuff without writing code I learned more about GTM infrastructure in my first month on clay than I did in a year of reading about it

But somewhere around month 6 I started noticing something. Every workflow I was building in clay was basically: call an API, check the result, maybe call another API, push it somewhere thats it .clay was giving me a nice UI to do something that's like 20 lines in a script or a few nodes in n8n and I was paying $495/month for that UI

The pricing change in march made me actually do the math. They killed the explorer tier, 495, and started metering every HTTP request as an action. I was paying clay to route API calls that cost nothing to make from literally anywhere else and i realized I have learned the patterns, I did not need the training wheels anymore

My current setup is n8n for orchestration, a couple of data APIs for enrichment called directly (Limadata,PDL,Apollo), and Firebase to store everything. The data quality is the same because Clay doesn't have its own data anyway was calling the same providers Im calling now, just with a credit layer on top

Im not saying Clay is bad. For someone who doesn't know this world yet its probably the fastest way to learn it. But thats the irony the better Clay is at teaching you how enrichment and orchestration work, the faster you realize you can do it without Clay

I want to start teaching my daughter how to spell simple words but I don't want to just rely on apps and screen. Looking for toys, games, or anything tactile that actually worked for your kids. How did you guys approach it? Would love ideas that keep it fun and not like a chore

okay i need some outside perspective because i have been going in circles on this for weeks and my husband is tired of hearing about it

my son is 15 and he is been looking into these academic summer programs in the UK he is a really motivated kid, very into reading and writing, and the idea of spending two weeks doing something he loves with other kids like him genuinely excites him my husband actually did one of these programs when he was around that age and he has been pushing for us to let him go says it was one of the best fun things he ever did and our son would get so much out of it

and i want to say yes i know he would love it but every time i think about actually booking it my brain just spirals into logistics and worst-case scenarios what if he gets sick sick, what if something happens at the airport, what if the supervision isn't what they say it is .he has done a week of sleepaway camp before but this is a whole other country across an ocean

for parents who have sent their kids on these kinds of program? what did you look for? what questions did you ask? or am i just being an overprotective mom and i should trust my husband on this one

i've been researching for weeks and everything under 300$ looks the same to me .basic silhouettes, nothing interesting and anything more chic or with custom sizing either doesn't exist or suddenly costs as much as a Revolve dress

for people who have already been through this:

what brand did you go with and would you recommend it?

did the price feel worth it to your bridesmaids?

if you went custom or non-traditional how did that go?

just trying to figure out if theres something obvious i am overlooking here
