“tHaT MusT bE a uTAh tHinG”

There are certain members and apologists who respond to any criticism of Church culture or even policy and doctrine with “that must be a Utah thing - that’s not how my Ward is in …”

I fully understand what a bizarro place Utah is, but deflecting every criticism by saying it must be a “Utah thing” is such a cop out.

Utah is what happens when you have a high density of Mormons all in one place. The dumb stuff is because of the Church, not despite it.

This was so easy, and they screwed it up…

Deaconess

Teacher

Priestess

Let the Young Women participate in preparing and passing the sacrament.

They can still have your gendered distinctions between key holders, priesthood authority, and priesthood power (atleast until there is enough pressure to ordain women).

My Intuitions Were Correct - Proof LDS Church is Feeding Info to Influencers like Jasmin Rappleye

At 13:40, Steven Pynnaker shares that John Dehlin learned about the lawsuit against Mormon Stories THROUGH Jasmine Rappleye’s social media post. I had posted about this just over 2 weeks ago that anything that happens with the Church, the LDS funded influencers appear to have pre-made videos with coordinated talking points released within hours.

These influencers need to be pressed on their funding sources, relationship with the Church, and the process of how the Church is feeding them information, talking points, and coordinating messaging.

Jasmin Rappleye: will you follow the 13th article of faith and tell the truth? Doesn’t your audience deserve transparency - that you‘re getting your funding and messaging directly from the Church?
