It's my third amplified model kit from Yu-Gi-Oh and Obelisk is my favorite so far! The kit is huge with nice details ans Obelisk is colossal! But once paint he really have the aura of an Egyptian God! And he is not that hard to paint. Because of hs sculpt, you could mostly dry brush it and get a nice result. I went further with glowing effects, but he is godlike without. The kit is not that hard to build, it's totally a must have in your collection.

Now I'm waiting for Ra and Slifer. The three gods will be so nice on my shelf!

This kit is huge! Like really ! It took me three afternoons to paint it all, but it was totally worth it! The sculpt is amazing, with lots of details to bring out. Mid paint I decided to make him glow with energy. I wasn’t sure how it would turn out, but the final result exceeded my expectations! And I love how the eyes glow ! So fare I really think it's my better paint model.

I'm painting Obelisk the Tormentor model kit, and I want to give him an energy glow effect. I choose a different path than the box art but does my effect look like energy glow and if so, can I improve it ?

Obelisk the Tormentor just join my shelf. Now time to paint !

I tribute Kuriboh and Gaia the Fierce Knight to summon my Black Luster Soldier!

After the Blue-Eyes White Dragon Amplified, I painted the Black Luster Soldier Amplified. The build is fun, and the kit looks decent out of the box (I don't like the plastic gold ...) but once painted, it really becomes gorgeous! He looks so nice on my shelf !

I added a few touches of red to give the model more depth. I also tried to create a ruby effect, but it didn’t turn out as well as I hoped. Still, it’s not a big deal the overall result is quite nice and I learned what not to do.

Next project the three Egyptians gods ! I already have Obelisk, hope I will find Ra and Slifer.

For the painting, I mostly used my cheap airbrush with a 0,3 needle, with some details done by brush:

• Glossy black undercoat from Vallejo
• Gold: Retributor Armor from Games Workshop
• Black: Vallejo Metal Color Obsidian Black, with a light mist of Metal Color Ultramarine
• Hair: Mephisto Red from Games Workshop, with orange and yellow dry brushing
