When is the best time to release a christmas single?

Should I go October, or November, or be incredibly last minute about it and go for the week before Christmas.

I am confident in the song.. just need a release... bare in mind it would be my FIRST release.

Hi. Curious to see what long rollouts, in your opinions ruined an albums chances by the time of release by that I mean. The public and the fans not caring less by the time the album came out, both commercially and thematically.

Recently in my opinion there have been a lot of examples. The first being 'That's Showbiz Baby 'by JADE. Arguably, JADE was the Little Mix member who people were most excited to hear from and then it took a whole year (and some) for the album to drop after 'AOMD'. By that time we had all the singles, all the videos and half the album already. Which in my opinion, cost it Album Of The Year at the BRIT Awards and any real recognition (despite being a great album and being named the HMV Bestseller or something).

Another example is Ed Sheeran with 'Play', I remember around the time of 'Azizam' and 'Sapphire' people seemed genuinely excited for the album, almost like the response to 'Divide' back in 2017. But it was Early summer and the album didn't come until Mid September. By which point, no one really cared less.

Can anyone think of any other examples or even vice versa, albums with such short rollouts people didn't have time to care less?
