





Hi all, been making my own dough for years and have lately been using my bbq with lid closed to pretty good effect.
I’m using logs as the heat source and the over gets to 800 degrees.
I recently got a George Forman pizza oven using the pellets suggested, and experimenting with softwood kindling sticks and restaurant grade charcoal, but so far the results are disappointing as I can’t get a consistent heat
I am a firebug and have been using fire to cook since a young boy so I know all about appropriately feeding fires, draw and so-on, yet cannot get the pizza oven to cook in less that 8 minutes , but the instructions say 45 seconds (no my wood isn’t damp, no I don’t open the door, yes I spend 30/40 minutes pre heating).
