Pre CBS Fender 1964/63 Esquire. So did I save it or destroy it?👀
So here we have my L series 64 Fender Esquire..Neck and Body made in late 63. When I got it was routed out for 2 humbuckers, and finished in poly..Except the neck thank goodness...it has its Original finish👍. It has aged Kluson compensating tuners on it. I found kiln dried high quality Ash wood. Removed the poly with a hot air gun..lots of fun! Then got the wood inlaid and the body rerouted to spec. Then I found a 63 bridge plate. A lucky find was the pup..I got a 51 lap steel single coil, mounted in a zinc coated steel plate! Hell yeah! Black guard baby...Finally had the work done and had it finished is see thru aged blond with nice crackle checking! Wiring harness is hand made and is, Eldred mod, vol and tone, Just volume, and then to the Jack! I would recommend this for any esquire owner...the frets are replaced, and nice..she plays fantastic and sound killer. Comes in at a killer 6.3 lbs. I love it!...So what shall the brain police say today🤔
