Hello! Just want to ask if anyone here had the same experience as mine.
Last March 10, I accidentally sent money from Vybe to Maya sa wrong number. Isang digit lang yung mali, supposed to be 150, pero naging 180 yung na-type ko (hindi ko agad napansin). Kinabukasan ko lang nakita when I was about to pay bills sa Maya na wala yung funds. Akala ko na float lang yung funds but eventually nakita ko rin na mali pala ang numner.
I reported it right away to BPI and Maya. BPI opened a case and said they already requested fund recovery from Maya, but “best effort” lang daw yun. Earlier today, naisipan ko tawagan yung number, nag-ring naman. Pero nung chineck ko before, wala siyang GCash account, so I assumed wala rin Maya. Sabi rin ng BPI, dormant account daw yung napag-send-an ko.
Now, almost 2 months na, wala pa ring update from BPI. I already emailed them and cc’d BSP and Maya, pero acknowledgment lang natanggap ko, no actual update from all three.
May chance pa kaya na ma-recover yung money? Haaay, lesson learned na rin talaga. After this incident, QR na lagi gamit ko for transfers from Vybe para iwas typing errors.
