How do you connect to your own sense of inner Awe and Wonder?🫶😊💜✨

I personally believe us AuDHDers are born with a unique and large capability to connect to our own inner spirituality and our own inner awe. And that that is a quiet superpower.

We also have the ability to go deep and heavy which is also a superpower but I’ll speak for myself I can get stuck there.

The question for today is How do you begin to connect to your own inner sense of awe and wonder? How do you lift your own self up?

What are the tools you use to change your world view to allow a change in thinking in?

Some people might journal, others might sit near a tree, others might pet their animal, and others may do art or crafts. Or music. Or visualization.

Whatever it is, please share!

By sharing you may help someone else see things just a little differently.

I’ll go first:

Sometimes I mentally (in my case it’s visual) actively see myself picking up a box in front of me that is my daily load of stuff I’m carrying or working through.

I picture myself picking up the box and setting it not out of sight but out of reach to the side of me. Then I’ll allow myself to feel an increased sense of expanded space. I then don’t feel as physically constricted. I feel room to step forward. And I sit for a time with that feeling of having my daily load set aside.

Once this happens I feel I can breathe a bit better, slower and calmer. And the world seems brighter. I then can perceive options in my situation. Even if that option is just a break from my own mind. If that is the case that is enough.

For me for some reason this visualization works best in the bathroom. I think it’s our natural connection to water.

When I can’t get there, when I can’t visualize the box, I pet my animal and I sit under a particular tree.

I just have to remember to do it!

Hugs and love to everyone working through whatever they are working through💜

We are really good on this sub supporting each other where and when we most need it. Being us can feel like a heavy load. Let’s lighten that.

Let’s pat ourselves on the back and each other. List one or more positive traits you might see as part of being AuDHD. No answer is wrong.

Perhaps we will see how much alike we are and how diverse we are and how wonderful we are💜🫶✨

I’ll go first!

Intuitive

Empathetic

Creative in at least one way

For me, big picture thinker

Passionate

Accepting (everyone but myself!)

Funny (when I’m comfortable with my surroundings)

Ability to pivot on a dime

Playful
