I'm working on a JVC-A20 and the issue when I got it is that the motor wouldn't spin (AC motor). I took it apart and lubed everything up. The player started to turn but still has a lot of trouble spinning and often needs help (via me giving it a spin before fully starting). I've cleaned and lubed the whole machine. Is the motor bad? Or why can I not get it to spin freely without issue?
I'm cleaning this old JVC and I'm curious if you guys have cleaned the feet in any particular way without damaging them. I've tried wiping them down obviously but they need to soak in something as the slits on them are full of dirt I cannot reach.
I'm new to using oscilloscopes and am wondering if my incredibly old oscilloscope is usable for modern day projects? If so, what issues might I run into with it? It does turn on and is completely functional. I see a lot of the newer models that just look totally different so I'm wondering if I should even be using this model.
