Hi everyone,

I’m currently in the arranged marriage process, and both our parents are not allowing us to talk freely before the engagement. We’ve only had very limited interaction, mostly in front of family, and I don’t feel like I truly know him yet.

I did try talking to my parents, but they believe it’s not necessary and that things will work out after engagement or marriage. I’m also not sure what his stance is.

For those who went through something similar, how did it turn out for you? Did you feel okay with it later, or do you wish you had communicated more beforehand?
