Salesman telling me Bravia better than LG for me. Is he right?

I'm comparing the LG C6H 77" and the Sony Bravia 8 77"

Basement space, not very bright. TV will be used for:

50% Movies/TV

25% Gaming

25% Sports (primarily hockey)

Currently considering the 77" LG C6H from the LG partner website, on sale for $1,000 + extra 10% off so I could get it for $2,430 with a free wall mount install. Considering the $340 extended warranty too.

Other option is the Sony Brivia 8 from Costco currently at $2,299, which is cheaper and it comes with the Costco warranty. This is where the sales guy was telling me I should go for the Sony instead, but I was thinking it may be because their C6H prices aren't on sale for Memorial Day.

Motion tracking and picture clarity is what I notice on TVs the most, I think. How the TV handles quick panning shots especially.

The price difference isn't a huge point to me, I'd like to go for best option between these. What are your thoughts? Can I go wrong here? Best just to get the Costco warranty and customer service?

Anyone Used Costco 30 Day Price Match on a TV?

I'm getting itchy, ready to buy a 77 C6H. I know there will likely be a memorial day sale, but I want my TV now damnit. Anyone used the 30 day price match from Costco to buy a TV before a large sale?
