I think I've purchased one item of diamond jewelry in my life when we got engaged years ago. Wife would like to purchase some stud earrings for our daughter who is graduating. I've done some basic research into lab grown diamonds, and it seems like a great alternative to real diamonds. Not sure anyone would even know the difference!

Can someone point me to any particular stores that are known for quality stones and settings? What should I be looking for when it comes to size, etc.? Do they use the same designations as natural diamonds?

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide!

I tried to change a couple of key bindings and when I unpaused the graphics were completely blurry. I restarted several times but I can't play the game with the display like this. Any idea what is going on?!

I've read about the expanding universe models of a balloon inflating or raisin bread rising.  Are we able to tell where we are in such a model?  In other words, if we were in a rising loaf of bread, we would see some raisins moving in mostly the same direction as us, if we looked a little to our left we would see raisins moving away from us at an angle that increased with how far away they were, and we might be able to see where the center of the loaf was and notice some raisins moving away from us in the complete opposite direction.

Is this true with space?  Are certain things (galaxies, stars, etc.) moving sort of in the same direction as us, and other things moving away from us at a more extreme angle?  Can we infer where everything is moving away from based on their positions and angles of expansion?  I'm thinking that some things moving directly away from us might not be observable since they are moving away faster than light can reach us.

Bonus question from my son!  Is there more "stuff" in a certain direction from Earth?  If we looked out from either pole vs. along the planes of our orbit, does matter arrange itself along certain planes?

Thanks!

I'm trying to user Anker Games, I found a game to get, and I click Download.  The Download Ready button pops up, but no matter where I click it won't start downloading.  It just keeps saying Download Initiated every time I click on the button and then goes back to Ready. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong??

Seems like I keep picking up books that don't hold my attention. Probably being overly picky but one is overly written, the next is cheesy, too much character nonsense and not enough ideas, etc. It's been quite a while since a book really pulled me in and didn't let go. I need a new grand adventure.

Usual genres are sci-fi, historical fiction, a lot of nonfiction audiobooks, etc. Usually avoid mysteries since I'm never sure if they'll be good any I'm usually wary of long series.

Some random past winners: Foucault's pendulum, name of the rose, Iliad and Odyssey (didn't like the Madeline Miller one I started), Neil Stephenson, loved Crichton as a teenager, dragon tattoo books were fun, the expanse series, Locke lamora, Le Carre, Shutter island, cemetery of forgotten books series...

Please help me get things going again! Thanks!
