SFO<>EWR Route Wifi

I have flown this route round trip around a dozen times this year. Why is the WI-FI always dysfunctional // when will United fix it?

At best I get spotty internet 30% of the time (other 70% is staring at a refreshing page or taking a nap since what else can I do). United is well-aware since they automatically refunds (not that getting the $8 / flight does much). I have never complained, though I'm astonished they haven't found a solution given how valuable this route is (biz class can easily be $8k round trip) + the business traveler skew, or at least proactively notify customers

Are they really forcing fliers to wait until starlink to get a usable connection?

Solidcore pricing -- when is enough, enough?

Probably going to get downvoted for this, but genuinely curious what folks think.

I've seen a lot of frustration lately about Solidcore raising prices. But for me, it's still by far the most discounted option in the market...

First, solidcore should be cheaper: their model is super lean (you clean your own machine, the front desk is barely staffed, no showers, no fuel bar). That's a lot of overhead they're not paying for.

At the same time, I'm in the bay area and I picked up a 6-month 10-pack last year that works out to about $210/month, or $21 a class. Meanwhile:

  • SoulCycle: ~$33/class on 8/month
  • Barry's: ~$30/class on a 10-pack

Even with the recent increases, Solidcore still feels like one of the more affordable boutique options to me. Am I missing something about these other studios? Otherwise I genuinely do think that some of the benefits of Solidcore's operating model does benefit customers via lower pricing...

This morning, a coach was on the schedule who is on leave (at 7am!). As expected, nobody was there.

Coaches continuously leaving / being hired.

No monthly emails and have no idea who the HCCM even is. Has HQ given up on this location? Such a nice group of people but absolutely no structure/consistency in place... Is every studio like this?
