My dad is born Muslim but doesn't pray and commits many major sins. He keeps trying to get me married to non religious, practically kuffar men.

He won't let me marry any religious man with a beard. He's also racist and that he wants someone from our ethnicity.

He has abused me frequently over my practice of Islam.

What do I do if I ever want to get married to a religious man? In that case, should I get the Shaikh to be my wali to get married?

My parents will surely cut me off If I do so.

Hey everyone I'm looking for an apartment that is:

• within 15 minutes, either walking or bus shuttle distance of the engineering building

• at least 1,000 sq feet

• less than $1,800/month

I've been looking around but its hard to tell which ones connect to a bus/shuttle..any ideas?

I don't understand how it's chasing to be respectful, available, kind and accommodating to a proposal. They say to not look too kind and interested and that he'll use it against you and respect you less.

I want to be able to compliment a prospect, say that I'm excited to be talking to them, and respond to texts in a timely manner. Not being cruel and rude doesn't mean I'm throwing themselves at them.
