The ETV on this is INSANE and it was gone so friggin quick
Purchased a sedenii aurea corm for a friend almost 4 months ago and it’s finally given them a leaf. It’s only on its first leaf.. but does it look like it’s going to be variegated? The seller has variegation guarantee or replacement/refund but only after it’s grown 3 leaves. Neither of us has ever seen a sedenii aurea in person, especially not one this small.. so just curious as to what others think
I’m in a situation where I need some emergency help and I don’t have family that I can turn to.
I’m a single mother of two and have a very limited income. I have been busting my butt to make sure we have everything we need and I’m still falling short. I don’t have a car that I can get a loan on. I’ve just started to build my credit so I can’t get approved for any loans in the amount that I need.
I’m hoping an angel sees this and is able to help with at least something. The churches in my area don’t have any funding. I’ve called every single one of them. I’ve gone and tried plasma centers but I don’t weigh enough and my iron is low (anemic).
I was on a program to help lower my utilities, but when I moved, the company that owned the last place had the utilities taken out of my name before I was completely moved and had a chance to give my new address to the program I was in, so I got kicked off.
The winter we had was rough and the utility companies raised the price per unit I was paying and my bills literally tripled, so now I owe exactly 2,752.25$ to the electric company and they just cut my power off today. They wouldn’t put me on a budget plan. I have to pay the full amount before they’ll turn it back on.
I have a 6 year old and a 3 year old with autism and I just need some help.
I can provide proof of the expense, and I don’t even care if somebody would call the company to pay it themselves. I just need the help and don’t know what else to do or who to turn to.
I can pay back 50-100$ every two weeks.
Or if anybody has any advice on what I could do?
Already tried 211 and they told me to apply for the program I was kicked off of, but there’s at least 12 weeks before they’ll even get around to looking at it.
Thank you to any and everybody who takes the time to read this.
So I buy pallets and resell the things I don’t keep or give to family, right?
Now I’ll do research for a few hours, or even days, before I decide on the price I’m going to list the item(s) at. I realize that I live in a pretty poverty stricken area and I take that into consideration as well when coming up with a price.
When I do finally decide on a price, it’s typically anywhere between 40-70% off, depending on the item. I’ll take a screenshot of the item with the listed price from wherever it would be sold (I.e. Walmart, target, amazon, etc) and include it in the marketplace listing photos so potential buyers actually see what kind of deal they’re getting. I’m very open and forward about things like this.
Now my problem is that I’ll take an item with a retail value of 100$ (for example), and list it for 30-40$. Now I feel that’s a pretty good deal and something I’d jump on if I were in the market for it. I also prefer pickup, but will deliver within a reasonable distance for a 5$ fee. I also state this in my listing. I keep the listing description short and sweet so it’s not too much for somebody to read and so they don’t miss that bit of info.
Idk if it’s just where I live or what, but I’ll have people sending me messages trying to lowball me and when I decline, I’ll politely tell them I’m already listing well below market value and
Can’t afford to sell it for any less when it’s already listed at such a low price. Several times I’ve had people tell me the product isn’t worth that much, they just looked it up and I’m trying to “rob people” at the price I’ve listed, or others will just flat out say things like “I’ll come get it but I’m only paying x amount of dollars” (example: listed a 30 plant light for 15, and was told they’d come get if for 5, or they’ll give me 15 and need it delivered), and when I decline they get nasty and rude.
This isn’t everybody that messages about my listings, but it seems to be a pretty hefty portion of them. Another example: I had a set of side/end tables with charging stations that had a retail value of 150$. I listed them both for 40$. Not each, as a unit. The first person to message me said, “Oh great! I’ve really been needing tables for my bedroom. I’ll give you 25$ and need them dropped off”. ABSOLUTELY NOT. 1.) I’ve already listed them at a VERY deep discount 2.) I have to make my money back somewhere. I’ve got bills to pay, too and 3.) Gas is 5$ a gallon right now. I think my delivery fee is fair, especially when I’ll be delivering products that are still brand new, never used and would be much more expensive if somebody went and bought the same items at a large retailer.
Mostly just needed to rant, but do people in other areas deal with this, too? Is there something I’m doing wrong here that’s attracting the wrong kind of customers?
Bro.. beyond annoyed with the way things are going today just in general but WHY did the packages I’ve ordered in the last two days get shipped to an old address I haven’t had on file for YEARS. I even went and triple checked to see if the address was still listed on my account and it’s not. I only have my current address on file.
And to boot, the people who live there just claimed they didn’t receive the packages even though the delivery picture clearly shows them at that address.
The universe is TESTING ME TODAY 😤
How long does it typically take from start to finish for the hiring process?
Hello everybody!
I have a few alocasia and corms up for grabs.
I will be shipping out from Ohio, and UPS three days select is $15 even. Depending on your weather, you may need to purchase a heat pack (5$) and/or insulation (4$) so please be sure to check before you purchase.
Please let me know if you’d like upgraded shipping and we can discuss the cost
I ship out Monday-Wednesday and these will go out beginning April 27, 2026.
A few disclaimers:
I package these with as much love and care as I’d want my plants to be packed with. That being said, I am not responsible for any shipping delays/damages/lost packages. I am not responsible for anything that happens after these plants leave my care, unless they arrive DOA. If that’s the case, I require an unboxing video within 2 hours of delivery receipt, upon which you can reach out to me and we can work something out. I want satisfied customers, and will do my best to ensure that.
Yellowing on older leaves is NORMAL, and not cause for concern or refund!
There is no variegation guarantee, but all corms come from mothers with a proven track record of producing variegated babies.
Payments accepted: PP, Venmo, Chime, Varo and Apple Pay
