My husband & I lost our home to a wildfire in July of 2024. We have been lucky enough to have friends that were willing to house us up until last year, since then we have been in a 1990 trailer, the bathroom doesn’t work(we use our neighbors’), no water heater, fridge is broken, horribly insulated, it was suppose to be temporary. Husband is working full time & I am working part-time, our credit cards have been maxed out pretty much since the fire & our budget is tight. We are trying to finance a new trailer, but with such a tight budget we have had no luck. The loans we have found want $4000-$7000 down & the hot summer is approaching fast. We are trying to stay close to our town that was devastated by the Park Fire because I run the food banks & volunteer a lot of my time there. Anything helps.
