Need Help Practicing/ Starting To Cook Indian Food

Hi. American here.
I have married and Indian man and always loved Indian food. He is usually the one who cooks but I feel it is my time to step up as a wife and learn to cook Indian food.
I am completely new. So the basics will help. Like:
what are the easiest dishes?
How to make roti?
Are there any little “cheat” things I can buy at the local Indian store that can help until I am good enough on my own(pre made roti/ sauces/ spice mixes/etc)?
Is there a way to start off with small portions so if it goes wrong, there isn’t much waste?
Thank you for any help/ tips 🙏

High Thyroid early pregnancy

I’m between 5-6weeks and went to the ER this morning due to waking up with heart palls and sweating.
They ran all the tests and the doctor didn’t seem too concerned. However, I was looking at the results and my TSH was 5.53 (high) when I am usually hypo to low-normal. My free t-4 is in range and fine.
Is this normal in early pregnancy? Will it go down? Do I need a specialist? Thank you for any advice. 🙏❤️

High Risk Pregnancy Advice Please🙏

Can any of you ladies who have been deemed “high risk” tell me what your pregnancy journey was like? Can you also share what deemed you high risk and if you did in fact have complications or not?

I’m 35yrs old in June and obese (290lbs, down 110lbs from my highest weight of 40lbs). I also have PCOS.

Recently I found out I’m pregnant, confirmed by doctor 2 days ago. Had an Obgyn appointment today to get blood work & ultrasound but after intake & paperwork, they deemed me high risk and outsourced my bloodwork & ultrasound & referred me to a high risk center. So now I’m just nervous.

I want to add Before pregnancy all my labs have always been normal and in range and BP always good. Only thing has been PCOS & hypothyroid but last lab, my thyroid was in range.

Location: California

I’m a white American married to an illegal who is registered with ICE and has a SSN & Work Permit. I recently found out I am pregnant, despite our best efforts (always wears condom) to prevent an accident. (It slipped off after he finished one time a few weeks ago) now oops, pregnancy.
I struggled with infertility and PCOS and was informed at the age of 22 I’d most likely be infertile.
Anyways, the accident happened and we are low income living with his friends to make ends meet.
As happy as I am, he is on the verge of wanting a divorce because he “can not support a baby”.
So I was wondering is there anyways we can get on government assistance in the state of California, because I can’t do it alone. And if we got on assistance (because we are married) would it affect his green card process. We haven’t even tried to apply yet because we were just trying to adjust to being married. So if we got on government assistance and tried to apply for his green card, would it mess it all up?
Is there a way we can be married and only I apply for help? Or should we just divorce and I try getting help by myself on my own?
