I’m 19M and recently started my first internship at a startup. 4 folks were hired, one didn’t show up on the 1st day, and it’s me and 3 girls in the cohort. Rest of us had our orientation together, got assigned departments and mentors, standard shit.
Day 1 was chill. Roamed around, vibed and no issues. Work started from day 2 and my manager started pushing me more towards strategy and ideation. I just did what was asked and tried to deliver.
Everything was smooth till day 5.
One of them suggested drinks after work. We went. It was fun until she randomly started trash-talking another girl’s mentor. That obviously didn’t sit well and they got into an argument. I stayed completely out of it. Then we got drunk and danced a bit but out of nowhere, the one who didn’t show up on orientation day turns to me and tries to peck me, honestly meri fatt gayi and I just went back to the table. She came back after 15 min acted like nothing happened, I also avoided any convo with her but again shouted at me that I act like the manager’s pet.
Ab I was shocked and mere toh aansu aagye the, but keptmy composure and said sorry if it came off that way, paid my share, and left.
Now another intern calls me and says that the said peer is planning to complain about me to the manager for shittalking bout a mentor. Woahhh
For what exactly? Existing?
Please help me to figure this shit out.
