I remember going about my day and then a dude runs into Kliff and hands him a letter. Well me I was probably in the middle of doing something so I didn't read it. And I forgot about it. So I was watching a video on YouTube from Sam Bram, and apparently the letter you receive advances the game and I was kind of wondering "haven't received a main mission in a while just some little bullshit missions I wonder when the story is going to move forward". Apparently that letter moves the story forward. Fascinating.

But is Crimson Desert set in a post-post-apocalyptic world, similar but maybe more advanced than the world of horizon zero Dawn? At the start of Crimson Desert which I haven't gotten much past, I think I'm in chapter 4, but I've noticed that there's advanced technology. BUT! A lot of the technology used by everyday people is muskets and swords. But judging by the posts I've seen in the random bits of technology I've seen hanging around the game I'm saying that this is a post-post-apocalyptic game.

If you need a definition of post-post-apocalyptic, it means the apocalypse happened, the vast majority of human beings were wiped out, and the few that survived rebuilt based on a society that had no knowledge of the past technology. Or limited knowledge of past technology.
