The Apt 9 DOOM Shrine

I wanted to share the DOOM Shrine with anyone who likes this kinda stuff. This is a combination of my own collection with my friend’s, we used to be roommates but when he moved he figured he could leave the shrine intact so the whole display is still together haha.

Wishing McFarlane would make more demons, their Marauder is cool but I’d love to see them really dive into some others. Also wish Numskull finished making the in-game toys from Eternal, I really wanted an Icon of Sin.

Anyway, hope you enjoy seeing some of this. This setup is directly across the doorway into the apartment, so anyone who comes in sees it instantly.

Is Tnt Evilution really that bad?

So I just finished Doom 2 Master Levels and it was a miserable experience, some of the worst level design in the franchise by far.

I've heard horror stories about the level design in Evilution, is that true to some extent?

I want to beat every single classic Doom official release and so far it's not very good. (I beat Sigil, Doom and Doom 2, it was great however)

Aim assist sniping

I just finished doom eternal today and Im wondering if the sniper mod has aim assist on pc? Its like impossible to miss a head shot on enemies, its either got aim assist or the hitboxes are very forgiving.

I started to like the flail in Dark Ages

This is such a cool weapon. I see it in a game for the first time. I am playing it for the first time, I am in 8th mission, I upgraded flail to the max already, totally slaying it :D

Shield + flail + chainshot is my favorite combo

Finally playing Dark ages for the first time. How am i doing so far(Nightmare BTW)

So i am really happy that i am saying and playing this. I am Doom veteran especially Eternal i have Ultra nightmare completed there and i am so so happy and glad that i am enjoying the hell out of it. I really think they nailed the formula for the drastic change. Its not eternal and i think thats why i love it.

And also i quite love that there is so much variety in how you want to play. You have 3 types of melee, 4 types of shield runes and so many gun which feel like i am using all of them(except grenade launcher i am sorry) and upgrades system is so good i think. I think i remember some people were upset that there are not any praetor upgrades, but i think this feels more impactful than praetor upgrades ever did.

So yeah, i love it i still have half of the game to go so i am really happy to be playing this and if there is something that you think i can improve on give me a tip, but for a nightmare run on first go i think i am doing okay, i like that i am dying and that it is a challenge.

File directory mishap screwed the ability to download mods through launcher.

I have been at this for hours. Had a whole issue with trying to untie OneDrive from everything that had to do with files, thought I was good until I came across the OneDrive folder that refuses to go away even after being deleted.

I saw that the mod files (activemods, idStudio, and assetpacks) were in the folder and deleted the folder again, redownloaded my mods, then they were in the folder I had just deleted that was now magically back.

So I went into the launcher and changed the path directory to a folder in my game documents folder, then tried to redownload the mods. Big mistake apparently. Now it doesn't work even after uninstalling and reinstalling the game on steam.

Get a javascript error, says the 'directory' option must be an absolute path, I have no clue what this means. Press OK, wants to download some "base.pk5", thought okay it probably needs this, don't know where it needs to go. Whether or not I download the file (as far as I know doesn't do anything) try to download a mod in the launcher and it just stays at 0%.

I'm so tired of this thing, if anyone can help that would be most appreciated.

Flickering/Missing Walls in Ultimate Doom Builder/GZDoom (using Whisky)

Hi, trying to get UDB set up on my Mac using Whisky. When I try and test the game using GZDoom, I'm getting this weird flicker-y thing happening. Not sure if it's a result of running UDB and GZDoom on Mac or it's me not assigning textures correctly or something.

I'm also getting this error in the console when I run the game: 

Unable to remove temporary compiler files. IOException: Unknown error (0x14d0580) : '\\?\C:\users\crossover\Temp\x6bydkcc'

Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Are Doom 3 and Dead Space Similar?

I have played and enjoyed Dead Space and was wondering if that would translate to liking Doom 3. They look like they have similar vibe and was wondering what was if it would be fun to play. Is the game more or less difficult than Dead Space?
