The flashing lights began when I was seven, camping in the Redwood forest, and a beam of light abducted me. Gray figures with black eyes examined me on their ship, then I awoke in my tent, dismissing it as a nightmare, though a metallic taste lingered. Years later, a photo revealed my glowing eyes and a lurking gray figure in the background. Now, I live with the chilling certainty that they're still watching, and I fear their return.
