A monster taming adventure game

I'm developing a campaing board game, inspired by monster taming games, like pokemon and monster hunter stories. In the game, players are tamers of the monster tamer guild, solving mysterious phenomena of this fantasy world, exploring the ruins of an ancient civilization lost after a past cataclysm and specially, study, tame, care and battle the diverse magical monsters of this world.

I'm still thinking of the rules, but i thought of it having a modular board, a selection of a setting that determine the main objective to win the game, a bond meter, that meters your relationship with your monster (this world has a magic power called symbiosis, when monster and tamer share energy and the monster can give part of it's power to the tamer) and a lot of other systems i thought, but the focus would be have an adventure, tame monsters and have fun memories with friends.

The main problem i'm having with this idea, is deciding if it's gonna be co-op or semi co-op. If it's co-op, the players would move together with only one miniature and would cooperate to complete the objetive, living the same adventure. If it's semi-coop, the players would be part of different guilds with unqieu skills and specialities, and they compete to find the rarest monsters and discoveries or complete missions and gain more prestige, but they wouldn't be enemies, they would encounter in the map to share information, fight together with bosses and camapaing events, but each player would live it's own unique aventure. Which play mode should this game be in your opnion?

I'm trying to write a fantasy book, inspired by my love for pokemon. The book would be written as a journal of an adventurer, writting about the various monsters he finds in the way and the civilizations of this world. I love the idea of this book and how i can create tons of unique monsters and it's also a fun way to do worldbuilding, but there's one thing that i'm having trouble with, "the story".

I have a format and an aesthetic i have in mind, something in the vibes of dungeon meshi and witch hat atelier, but none of the story ideas i had seemed good. I'm actually feeling a little lost trying to define what i actually want in this story. I don't know what is the goal, who is the protagonist, how is the common relation between monsters and humans, nothing.

I'm feeling really lost and i'm feeling like i'm losing intrest in this idea that at first i really loved, but now i'm losing the spark, only because i can't think of a good story. I still keep having new ideas for books and games that seem more intresting than this one and this also makes me angry, cause i used to love this idea and i don't want to give up again. Please, what can i do?

Hello. Well, i'm working on a passion project book, inspired by my love for fantastical monsters and specially, by my love for pokemon and monster hunter. The book will be written as the journal of a curious traveler, writing about his adventures and the fantastical crestures that live in this world and the mysteries surrounding them, getting into trouble, meeting various cultures and their relations with monsters and of course, taming some monsters and finding legendary species. I'm thinking on vibe similar to delicious in a dungeon or witch hat atelier.

The image you are seeing is a sketch of one of my first monster ideas for this project, i still don't have a name for it and this drawing is just to visualize the idea (it doesn't represent the final art of the book, i can draw better than that if you give me more time), but what i thought about it for now, is that he is kinda like a mysterious doctor of nature. Inspired by plague doctors, it produces hundreds of toxins and antidotes in it's body and helps healing corrupted creatures and plants of the land, but also can cause plagues, by elimating a certain number of people who pocess a treat to the ecossystem, which makes it a bit disliked by some cultures and seem as a messager of death. He has a certain of mysterious sense, that can somehow tell if someone is sick or gonna be sick, even before show any symptons and can anlyze it to determine the cure in the blink of an eye or even detect the weak points of an enemy.

I really love the idea of this book and the potencial to create a fun worldbuilding and monsters.... the problem is that i'm having trouble trying to have ideas for new monsters. I thought about termitates that use earth magic to form golem-like mobile conolies and some sort of fire ape, but i'm still working on that and i still need more ideas. Do you like my project idea? Can you help me with it?
