Hey,

Currently living in melbourne (my job have sent me out here), ive been here 7 months now, ive always wanted to leave but never have because of relationships, life blah blah blah

I turn 30 in 2 weeks and heading back home for a trip (very excited!!), however being 30, female and single its left me in a hard situation to buy a house. I know I dont want to stay in Aus forever, I can probs do another 6m-1 year but after that I want to settle back home.

Like most people I never imagined id be single, childless at 30, however thats life and I have a good job and have worked hard to get to this position. I know i cant just but a house, i need to come home (find a new job), and pass probabtion before anyrhing moves. Ive about 35k for a deposit and hoping to save another 10k over the next year.

So how hard is it really to buy alone? Im worried my salary (52k) isnt enough to get an approved mortgage in a decent area.

Im floating with the idea of coming home early and doing this all sooner rather than later! I have spent my 20s travelling, changing jobs, in relationships and now im ready to settle.

Thanks in advance from a scared yet excited about life not so young one!!

Just moved to Brunswick from the southern suburbs, why is there no lime bikes here? On the map its not blocked out as a no go zone. Does anyone know why? Thank youu

Hello! Im 29 Irish female, based in Melbourne. I downloaded this app last week and ive had more offers for fwb than I have on hinge or tinder? The app has sold the idea that a large % of people are there for a “serious relationship”, so whats going on? Soo many mens profiles also dont include that info. It just seems like another app that will mess with your head thanks to the algorithm! Im quite shocked at how it is. Has anyone else experienced this?
