been experimenting with different embroidery layering/pattern techniques lately and thought it would be fun to make a hat inspired by one of my favorite cards.

mostly wanted to play with color combinations and texture rather than recreate it exactly. if someone in the community likes it i’m happy to send this 1/1 to you if you cover shipping :)

a friend of mine commissioned me to design a custom hat with a 90s aesthetic like they have for american sports of that time. i noticed there’s a gap in the market here for football caps.

anyways curious on thoughts from real fans if they feel it’s authentic or any other colors/styles you would like to see. my aim was to make it as authentic for fans as possible . and mostly just sharing them with local support groups but if interested feel free to reach out.

i’m a designer and embroiderer and also passionate about futbol and fashion but my favorite hats of the 90s are no where to be seen in futbol. i’m talking about the college, nfl, nba hats.

so i’ve taken it upon myself to design my own but wanted to get feedback on different elements that would make it authentic to core fans. i made a couple of other teams but i just got a request for a real madrid hat and this is what i came up with.

lately i’ve been trying to get a gradient/ transparency effect. i’m curious if anyone has done this and knows some best practices.

i’m utilizing the gradient effect and i guess should really just do a trial of all different settings and label them for refrence.

this sample came out really messy bc i didnt add enough thickness to the cursive as well plus forgot topper on the corduroy.

any tips are appreciated.

lately i’ve found an interest in trying to adapt design techniques of overlapping textures, and implementing gradients/transparency.

does anyone have any good resources they are aware of for learning to do this effectively / manipulate the settings for best results?

i really enjoy patchwork and want to recreate this hand stitch patchwork vibe

appreciate any feedback on this design as well! this was my first time using this setting of diagonal cross stitch

I’ve been experimenting with custom embroidered hats inspired by 90s american hat brands that were doing colleges, nba, nfl.

Feels like futbol caps never really got that same treatment, so I wanted to see what it would look like applied to Bayern.

curious if it feels authentic or if i should make any changes.
