I used starting fluid on my air filter a while back and didn’t realize it had melted the filter. I sent the car off to a mechanic to have the fuel line to the filter changed and I just recently got it back and was excited to start it up but… nothing. It sounds like it wasn’t firing on all cylinders so im guessing the debris clogged my brand new injectors and worst case got into the engines cylinder walls. I just want a second opinion before I start tearing it apart to replace injectors and inspect damages

I need insight on the requirements for doing a manual swap on my 91 Celica GT project car. Im a pretty experienced DIYer I’ve done engine rebuilds and plenty of custom fabrication and can wire just about anything up. I just want some insight on what’s necessary and any issues anyone has had that I could avoid if known beforehand.

Obviously this is a big undertaking and will take some time, I’m just getting ready to prep for the manual swap after I get the last of my engine work done. This will be my first transmission swap but I think I will be okay, I’ve jumped head first into many projects and made them beautiful.
