AITA for leaving my friend’s house since he spent a half hour talking to one of his other friends on the phone?
The title is basically what happened. My friend asked me to pick him up from school today (I go to a different school and got out earlier then him, his car is in the shop rn) we already were planning on hanging out today so I just assumed I’d go to his house we’d chill for the afternoon.
I pick him up, we head over and he lets it drop that he’s hanging out with his friends today but we could still hang out a little. I didn’t know he was planning to hang out with them too but we sat around and played golf or something on his Xbox.
Halfway thru he calls one of the friends he’s hanging out with and tells me to be quiet when they talk. I don’t like causing issues so I sat there and we kept playing golf while they talked. I assumed it would be like a “hey can you take me since my cars in the shop?” Convo but they sat there and talked for a half hour. His friend had to call someone else so I but my friend told him to call him back when he could.
After they hung up, I told my friend if he was just gonna talk to the other friend, I could just go home. My friend told me “that’s the most pick me thing you’ve said” and we kept playing the round in silence. After the game ended I made up some excuse about having to go and left.
I’m a little irritated and he is too. It’s not a big deal but he didn’t seem to even care that we were supposed to hangout and kinda sidelined me.
