Hey Guys,

I’m starting a new job in DC at the end of June so I’ll be moving. My starting salary will be around $80k. I plan on commuting by car and my employer has parking already included in my package. I was wondering where I could find a decent area to live in without spending half my monthly salary on rent. I don’t mind a 45-1hr commute. Mostly looking for a studio but I could settle on a fully functional basement. Just wanted some advice on where to look. Most of the developments I see on Zillow have bad reviews stating there is a mice or roach infestation. That’s mainly what I’m trying to avoid. Thanks.

To add, I don’t care about metro access or walkability at all. I’m aiming for something under 1500 but I am flexible. Also, I’ll be commuting to DC near Oxon Run Park

Hi guys,

I’m a gun owner in NJ moving to Maryland at the end of June. I own a NJ compliant rifle which means a welded muzzle device, 10rd mags, and no foldable stock/brace. I also own a pistol which is limited to 10rd mags and NJ compliant. What is the process to transfer my NJ Firearms license to Maryland? And do I need to have my firearms modified by an FFL to do so?

Thanks

Hey guys,

I’m starting a new job in SW DC. The closes Maryland town to my job is Forest Heights. But I wanted to ask where I should look for apartment that is safe and somewhat affordable. I’m looking for a 1 bed 1 bath and commute can be up to 30-40 minutes. Budget is around $1200-$1400/month, can be more depending on what I find. Looking for any info into what towns you would recommend.
