From a semantic standpoint, a ’save slot’ is where a ’save file’ is inserted during the saving process, right?

Not that many people would know this in practice given how interchangeable these two terms appears to be across the board, even in titles that do have discrete ’slots’ for you to make saves to. And that’s not without mentioning the occasions where different terms are used such as both Hollow Knight games naming their slots as ’profiles’ or the many N64 titles requiring the Controller Pak naming their files and the space they take ’notes’ and ’pages’ respectively as per Nintendo’s mandate at the time.

So what about you? Do you consider this distinction important for your titles?

Like, it’s curious how they’d be stereotyped as untrustworthy whereas the savage stereotypes wolves are usually assigned in stories are decidedly absent with the closest they’re portrayed as ’bad guys’ being the Cliffside Asylum guards responsible for kidnapping the night howler victims.

Given how it’s very similar and yet distinct from Persona, coupled with other SMT staples like the Press Turn system, it definitely would’ve been a possibility.

Yeah, they literally reuse the same jumping sounds from the arrow boxes for instance. And it kinda doesn’t help that they look much plainer too…

Between all the items, character abilities and Pixls, I’d assume there would have to be a lot, all for that one encounter that plays out like a Dragon Quest-style turn based battle.
