Alright this is going to be incredibly vague because the book and my memory of it are around 20 years old, but there's a book about 4 kids that live in a village, they adventure inside a nearby cave that they were told not to enter and end up trapped somehow, the only other details I vaguely remember are; I'm pretty positive there were dragons, and some kind of mystical/magical stones
