Mr rose breasted grosbeak just arrived this am, he's a bit grumpy and has opinions about the red winged blackbirds 😁

This is Tingting 🥰 For a few years now he's the first guy to arrive and he loves to drum off this beam to make the loudest and mightiest of noises!! None of the others have arrived yet, but he's eager to practice, slowly getting louder and finding his rhythm 😆 The fiesty ego on these guys is amazing, even Mrs Pileated hesitated and waited for him to leave before going to the suet (tingling likes the jelly feeder which is not to far from one of the suet feeders)

Been at this place for just over ten years now, feeding birds since the get go, and I finally have a mourning dove!!! 🎉 I've really missed their coos, wing whistles, and just their presence in general 🥰 Storm came in a few days ago and I was seeing three scout out the area, but starting yesterday one came into my bird feeder zone to eat! Still just one today, reeeaaaalllllyyyyy hope they stay! And bring friends!!!! Think they prefer cash crops and livestock feed so that's why any took so long to stop by, plenty of that yummy stuff here in rural alberta. Totally amazing how unconcerned the fella is by other birds, even just blankly staring at a grumpy blackbird or pushy robin and then going back to delicious seed 😋
