Magnesium Glycerophosphate

Have you tried this form before? It seems to be less common as I can only find 2 companies that sell it in the USA.

If you use it, what brand do you use? Where do you buy it? Why did you choose this form? Do you find it to be helpful?

I did a search and only found one post about it from 4 years ago with no replies.

I just started taking it because I need a better form of phosphate (dicalcium phosphate will reduce your stomach acid as well as having poor bioavailability; dipotassium phosphate is trickier to dose due to it containing potassium, plus I haven’t found it sold as a supplement in the USA). Oh, and I’m also magnesium deficient so I’m addressing 2 deficiencies and not just one with this supplement.

Nobody warns you about what happens when the obsessions go silent.

Well, maybe not exactly “nobody”, but you know what I mean.

And I know the distress doesn’t happen to everyone but it happened to me.

I am working with the I-CBT model and have the “themes” of scrupulosity (moral and religious), mixed in with perfectionism, just right, and more mild checking behavior.

Of course I jumped right in with one of my worst obsessions and mapped out my thought pattern, because, why not? I got to the point of testing my thoughts and the obsessions simply went silent. And it’s not because I’m afraid of testing it, because oddly I’m not, I’m perfectly fine with that part of treatment.

The silence is so distressing. The OCD noise in my head took up so much of my time and energy that this void is just distressing. Life just feels different and I cannot explain it.

I once was in the hospital for trauma treatment and I met a woman who had DID (real DID, before the TikTok fad). She was there because all of her parts went silent and she could not handle it. I know it’s a different disorder, but knowing one person out there experienced this distressing silence is somehow comforting in that I know I can push through this…

Thanks for reading.
