Attic conversion advice?

Hi all, thinking of getting our attic converted in the next 6 to 12 months. We live in a 3 bed (box room is really small) terrace in dublin. Only 1 quote so far at estimated 40-45k, we plan to get at least 2 more quotes.

Has anyone who has got this done recently have any insights on the time it takes or advise on the disruption to the house? I have a 2 year old and due another in 2 weeks. I was thinking if it was a 2 week job (?) it might be easier to take them to my parents house (2 hour drive) for the 2 weeks to avoid the noise and dust, and as i'll have a baby of 6 to 12 months old he will need to nap etc. I'll be on mat leave until May 2027, so thats my window to be away from Dublin for 2 weeks. My concern with this plan is my toddler missing 2 weeks (or more?!) Of creche, as after a week holiday recently he was a nightmare to resettle. My parents are great, but I dont wanna burden them for too long either.

How have others managed an attic conversion with little ones?

ETA thinking of going for velux windows!

LED mask - cleansing and products before?

So I got gifted the Omnilux LED mask recently and plan to start using v soon. I wonder if anyone could advise how to use the mask within my routine.

I have very dry skin, I dont cleanse in the morning as washing my face too often dries it out. (I also dont have time to use the mask in the a.m anyway!). Morning I do vit c and spf before makeup. Then evening is oil cleanse, cream cleanse, followed by HA serum, heavy moisturiser and an oil. Retinol 2 or 3 evenings a week.

I know you're meant to cleanse the skin before using the mask (makes sense!), but I also read you're not meant to have any product on the skin when wearing the mask? If I cleanse my skin and dont go straight in with HA serum and moisturiser then my face is a dry haggard desert. How do people fit the mask into their routine?
