Hello. I am new to Reddit in terms of posting, however, I want to share my feelings. I have not been a very spiritual person most of my life, but losing my brother in my early teens has ruined whatever faith I once had. He always promised me that he'd protect me even if something happened to him.
Things have changed the more I look into spirituality and what the definition of a soul is. Even now, I look for signs for him or anyone else I have lost in my life. I have seen birds that I associate with him and at times smell his colonge even when no one else is around. But I keep returning to the feeling that there truly is nothing past this existence. I fear that everything I have done so far is for nothing, that I will simply return to dust and nothingness. If I may ask for your advice, I would very much appreciate it. I am quite anxious over these thoughts.
