Is the NC listed on universities websites the same for EU and non EU students?

or are they different?

and if they’re different, you think they’d be tighter or looser for business administration, econ, etc.. considering the fact that most non eu students are applying for engineering and other STEM related stuff

I know that they fluctuate yearly but if you had to take a guess for popular cities (leipzig, frankfurt, etc..) , how would they compare to EU NCs

For example, Uni Leipzig has an NC of 2.3 this last year for Business Informatics (I have a 1.9)

would i (probably) be safe applying there next year or would the non EU NC be much stricter?

I qualify only for subject restricted admission based on what i studied in uni in my home country. I studied business, does that mean i can only apply for business un Germany or are there related subjects i can apply to?

How do I know what these subjects are?

I checked the Anabin database and i need either

1. a year of uni here then studienkollieg
2. 2 years here then direct-subject restricted admission

I had a question regarding NC

will it be calculated based on my 2 uni years or will high school grades count? cause i had a high gpa in high school but not so much in Uni so i was wondering.

Hello everyone!

As many others before me in the subreddit, when i was first searching for unis in Germany i had the preconceived notion of “prestigious universities” or “top universities”. I now understand that this isn’t a thing in Germany (as long as it’s public)

My question is, does it not matter AT ALL which university i choose? like to the point where i should only see which city fits me best and go there without a second look, or is there some other factor I’m missing?
