So i just found out about this from someone who works at a different wildlife rehab, that the government agency that handles wildlife in my country euthanises pigeons no matter what.

Censoring the name to protect my own identity.

For context id always look out for pigeons in need of help and try my best to help them. Due to being very busy, id usually try to catch them and put them in a box so that the government agency can collect them later. You can see the one in the picture has a broken leg and no tail feathers.

Ive been told before by this government agency that they will take care of the pigeons and pass it to their vets but will not be able to provide updates on the state of the bird (understandable as its a big organisation) so ive always blindly trusted them.

Unfortunately, during one of my recent rescues i had to call a different wildlife rehab nonprofit and i found out from them that the government agency will euthanise pigeons no matter what. I dont know how true this is but i can no longer trust that the animals i pass to the government will be taken care of.

Ive called in so many pigeons over the years, probably almost 15, and it breaks my heart to think that i might've just killed them all. I might've been sending pigeons to then slaughterhouse, thinking that i was helping them.

To be clear i have no evidence that they are killing these pigeons but ive always suspected that they might since the government treats pigeons as pests despite their claim that they will help them. Now there's just even more doubt in my mind.

Unfortunately the nonprofit is really slow to respond so they might not be able to help with as many cases but at least i know they aren't killing the pigeons.

Moral of the story, always eliminate all doubt about the rehabers when it comes to saving the lives of these birds.

Will my new laptop run Cyberpunk with raytracing?

Can you believe someone just... threw this away?

I found it in the dumpster near my house lmao.

Its in excellent shape.

Im scared to turn it on because i heard the capacitors in this era of laptops tends to blow out easily so ill prob wait till i can get a professional to look at it first.

There were also two other laptops of the same era but both are in twrrible shape. I took em home but theres both had plastic casings that crumble as soon as you apply any pressure so i honestly have no idea what to do with them.
